Garrett Leatherman of IL, took home one of the beautiful Scott Thomas Custom Saddles this year, winning the 2021 NLBRA World Champion Steer Wrestler.  Leatherman claimed this title back to back as he was also the 2020 NLBRA World Champion Steer Wrestler. 
Not only does Leatherman excel in the steer wrestling pen but also in the roping arena.  Being selected to compete in the Junior Ironman again this year in March at the Fabulous Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, OK.  The Junior Ironman is held in conjunction with the Cinch Timed Event Championships.   While there Leatherman will have the opportunity to be surrounded by some of the biggest names in professional rodeo while competing in the tie down roping, steer wrestling and team roping on both ends (heading and heeling.)
Leatherman has also had many other accomplishments competing in venues like the Junior World, Junior American, National High School Finals and the International Youth Finals Rodeo where he also found himself qualifying for short go’s and walking across the winners stage.
